Butterfly Valve Body

A Butterfly Valve Body is a pressure vessel that controls flow through a pipe by use of a single disc mounted on a central shaft which creates a variable orifice. Butterfly valves generally have bodies that fit between two pipe flanges, the most common being lug and wafer body design. The "butterfly" is a metal disc mounted on a rod.
